Why transport is different
Transport is a safety industry that happens to run on technology. Before a single system goes live it has to sit comfortably inside a safety case — the formal, regulated argument that the railway, the port, or the airport is safe to operate — and that case predates the cloud by decades. Change is not something you ship on a Friday; it is something you justify, evidence, and sign off through a formal, regulated safety regime overseen by the national rail safety authority.
The estate itself is unusually varied. A single operator runs head-office knowledge work, a round-the-clock control room where an operator cannot afford a distraction, depot and trackside teams working in tunnels and yards with patchy signal, and signalling networks that must never be put at risk by an office-IT decision. Each environment has its own tempo, its own devices, and its own tolerance for change.
We design the corporate estate, the field-worker patterns, and the control-room collaboration as three connected but distinct workloads — modern where it can be, deliberately conservative where the safety case demands it, and with a clear line between the two that an auditor can follow.
What we deliver
Operator-grade Modern Workplace
- Tap-and-go shared devices for shift-based staff
- Teams Phone integration with depot and station radio
- Field-worker patterns for engineering, P-Way, station ops
Control-room collaboration
- Secure collaboration patterns aligned to safety-case constraints
- Information governance for incident logs and SHE bulletins
- Power Platform delivery for shift handover and permits
Sentry XDR for safety-cased estates
- Sector-aware SOC; OT-bridge tooling where signalling and ops converge
- IR rehearsed against the operational and safety scenarios that matter to your network
InterReality Labs — XR for depots, trackside, and control rooms
- Immersive Unity simulators for high-risk engineering and operational procedures — staff rehearse before they go trackside or on plant
- Remote Assist connecting scarce specialists to depot, trackside, and station crews in real time
- Spatial overlays of asset and sensor data onto rolling stock and infrastructure; ARMR rugged hardware for field conditions
Industry & Advisory — assurance for long-cycle programmes
- Design-authority and programme assurance across multi-year delivery
- Security-architecture review where corporate, OT, and signalling meet
- Independent assurance held apart from the teams that deliver
